Henry Sugar has become a favourite among North Carlton locals and diners further afar since opening six months ago. Serving an ever evolving fine Australian, casual dining experience, revolving around their six course, multiple dish tasting menu, and abundance of vegetarian options.

To expand on their offering, Henry Sugar will now be open on Saturdays for brunch from 8.30am, starting this Saturday the 8th of July. With a tight new menu that covers well executed classic staples, as well as drawing on chef Mike Bakers training in Spanish Michelin starred restaurants (Alkimia and El Cellar de Can Roca). You will find dishes like Charcoal grilled octopus, morcilla, poached egg and whipped potato with paprika. As with dinner, expect an evolving seasonal menu, with plenty of vegetarian options.

The brunch drinks list carries the same considered approach to their evening menu; a tight wine list of minimal intervention wines, craft beers on tap, house fermented non-alcoholic sodas, inventive original cocktails, plus coffee supplied by the legends at Small Batch based in North Melbourne.
